Associate Manager, Data Privacy

About the role

Join the Data Privacy team to help build and maintain our internal privacy program. You will work closely with business and product units to ensure our operations align with evolving regulations, specifically focusing on India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Draft and refine privacy policies, procedures, and templates while supporting DPDPA implementation.
• Act as the primary privacy advisor for internal stakeholders to guide data-related decisions.
• Track global privacy trends and analyze their impact on company operations.
• Perform Data Protection Impact Assessments and risk evaluations to mitigate privacy concerns.
• Manage the consent framework and ensure it integrates across all functions.
• Review vendor contracts for privacy clauses and support third-party risk management.
• Assist in investigating privacy incidents and managing data principal requests.
• Monitor existing privacy controls, identify gaps, and maintain the personal data inventory.
• Develop and deliver privacy training programs for staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, or Privacy.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in the privacy field.
• Knowledge of GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA, the Information Technology Act, and regulations from RBI, SEBI, and IRDAI.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with policy documentation and framework development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, DCPP, or DCPLA.
• Prior experience in the FinTech sector.
