Senior Payroll Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our global payroll and benefits operations. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our compensation systems as we continue to expand. You will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient processes that support our growing workforce.

What you'll do

• Manage the complete payroll cycle for all employee types and entities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Maintain high data accuracy across HR, payroll, and accounting systems through process improvements.
• Collaborate with various departments to align total rewards data, including payroll, benefits, and compensation reporting.
• Perform payroll and benefits reconciliations and assist with financial closing procedures.
• Act as the internal expert on payroll compliance, benefit deductions, and year-end tax filings.
• Develop and implement internal controls for payroll and benefits functions.
• Create automated processes to improve efficiency and audit readiness.
• Document operational workflows and maintain procedures for audits.
• Work with Finance, People, and Legal teams to streamline reporting and compliance.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of experience managing the full payroll lifecycle, including processing, benefits administration, reconciliation, and reporting, preferably in a fast-growing or multi-entity company.
• In-depth understanding of US federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including multi-state compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to establish internal controls and prepare audit-ready documentation.
• Practical experience with payroll and HRIS platforms such as Rippling or Deel.
• Experience with 401(k) providers like Fidelity or Empower.
• Experience working with integrated payroll, HRIS, and ERP systems like NetSuite.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• A collaborative and proactive approach to working across different teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with compensation accounting.
• Familiarity with equity management systems like Carta.
