Member of Creative Studio
Job description
Creative Production Operator at Perplexity.
About the role
This role operates as the central coordinator for the creative team, enabling designers, motion designers, and brand leads to focus on craft. It connects vision to execution while protecting timelines and intent.
Sales roles connect a company's product with the customers who need it. Representatives research accounts, run demos, handle objections, and close deals. The work is quota driven and moves quickly. Strong sellers combine listening skills with product knowledge and steady follow through. Sales roles reward consistent activity and honest qualification of deals. Most companies use a defined sales process, and reps are trained on it before being left on their own.
Key facts
What you'll do
Coordination of creative projects is handled across teams to manage scope, timelines, budgets, and delivery without gaps.
Partners in Comms, Product Marketing, and Partnerships submit requests that are sorted, defined, and fulfilled through one entry point.
Vendors, contractors, and freelancers are obtained, guided, and supported through negotiation, clear briefs, and ongoing relationship care.
Photo and video shoots are organized from start to finish, including casting, location scouting, scheduling, staffing, and on-site logistics.
Final assets are worked on with post-production to confirm timely delivery that meets specifications.
Operational tasks are managed so the creative team can concentrate on producing high-quality work.
Requirements
The posting states a bachelor's degree requirement. Experience as a producer within an in-house creative or brand team, such as Brand Producer or Creative Producer, ideally in tech or consumer software.
A record of coordinating creative projects across teams while keeping to timelines, budgets, and brand standards.
Hands-on experience managing vendors, contractors, and agencies, including negotiating and overseeing contracts.
Experience organizing photo and video shoots, including handling logistics, licensing, and releases.
Strong instincts for program and project management in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
Clear communication and stakeholder management skills to align many partners without slowing momentum.
Fluency with creative tools and workflows, including Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, and the production process from concept to delivery.
Comfort working alongside strong creative leaders to support their work rather than directing it.
Nice to have
Experience standing up production processes and intake systems from scratch.
Background in both brand/campaign production and event or experiential production.
A network of trusted vendors, photographers, directors, and production partners.
Practical notes
The role is based in New York City and requires a degree as stated in the listing.
Typical interview steps
Sales hiring often includes a role play, a discovery call simulation, and a presentation. Candidates may be asked to pitch a product to a panel or handle a tough objection. Behavioral questions focus on past quota attainment and deal history. Energy and preparation matter. Interviewers often simulate the job in the interview itself, so be ready to run a short discovery call or demo. Practicing your own sales pitch out loud helps.
Career growth
Sales careers can move from SDR or associate to account executive, senior AE, manager, and director roles. Some sellers move into partnerships, account management, or revenue operations. Compensation typically mixes a base with commission tied to results. High performers in sales typically move into larger accounts, team leadership, or sales operations. Quota history and references carry the most weight in promotion.
Questions to ask
Useful questions for the interview: what a typical week looks like, how work is assigned, what tools the team uses, and how feedback works. Asking how the role has changed recently and what the team wishes it had known when joining is also reasonable. Questions about the manager's priorities are especially valued.
