Senior Android Engineer

Perchwell is building the next generation of real estate technology. We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to contribute to our core mobile application. This role offers a chance to significantly influence our mobile product and engineering practices as we grow.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Develop and expand the Perchwell Android application, ensuring a responsive and reliable user experience for real estate professionals.
• Take ownership of significant engineering projects, guiding them from technical planning through to release.
• Contribute to the architectural design of our Android codebase, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and testability.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality features.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional experience building Android applications using Kotlin.
• Proficient with modern Android development frameworks, including Jetpack, Compose, Coroutines, and dependency injection libraries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver features from concept to launch, with increasing responsibility.
• Experience in identifying and resolving performance and stability issues in mobile applications.
• Proven ability to contribute to technical strategy and architectural discussions.
• Strong communication skills, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience with modular Android architecture design, including feature modules and shared libraries.
• Familiarity with backend systems and API design for mobile applications.
• Experience with continuous integration and automated testing pipelines for mobile development.

Practical notes

• This role is open to remote candidates within the United States.
• Candidates located in the NYC area are expected to work from the New York City HQ at least 3 days per week.
