Lead Facilities Tech at Penumbrainc.
About the role
You will direct daily maintenance operations and oversee the facilities team to ensure our site remains functional and safe. This role involves coordinating external vendors, managing work orders, and performing hands-on repairs to support our medical technology manufacturing environment.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Supervise facilities staff and outside contractors to ensure high-quality maintenance standards.
- Execute and lead preventive maintenance checks on building systems and equipment.
- Manage the daily work order system, assigning tasks to technicians and re-prioritizing as needed.
- Conduct repairs on plumbing, electrical, flooring, ceilings, doors, and walls.
- Coordinate office moves and furniture reconfigurations.
- Enforce safety protocols, including lock out tag out, hazardous material handling, and ladder safety.
- Ensure all work complies with the Quality Management System and relevant industry regulations.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- 6+ years of experience in facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and data systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using standard powered and non-powered tools.
- Ability to work on ladders and move between buildings and floors.
- Knowledge of state industry safety orders.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English regarding job assignments and safety instructions.
Nice to have
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industries.

Practical notes
- This is an on-site position.
- The role may involve up to 10% business travel.
- Schedule may occasionally include weekends, holidays, or varied hours.
