Sr. Professional Services Engineer Consultant

You will work at the intersection of product, data, and engineering, enhancing Pendo's capabilities through custom solutions. Your work will help clients achieve their desired outcomes and accelerate their success.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Guide the planning and definition of professional services engagements, working with sales and customer success teams to identify client needs and scope projects.
• Develop and implement technical solutions, including custom integrations, data pipelines, and APIs, to connect Pendo with client systems.
• Manage the end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring alignment with client objectives and timelines.
• Offer advice on data architecture, integration strategies, and long-term technical roadmaps.
• Create reusable code and frameworks to improve the efficiency and capabilities of the professional services team.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and share insights from client engagements with product and engineering teams.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in a client-facing technical role within B2B SaaS, with practical experience in coding and building integrations.
• Strong command of JavaScript, Python, or Node.js, with the ability to produce production-ready backend code.
• Extensive knowledge of APIs, data pipelines, integration methodologies, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Proficiency in SQL and solid data modeling skills.
• Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems.
• Proven ability to explain complex data concepts and their business implications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience leading technical transformation projects and data infrastructure initiatives.

Nice to have

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience developing applications using Node.js, Python, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Segment, Snowflake, BigQuery, dbt, or Fivetran.
• Experience with AI/ML integrations, including feature engineering.
• A background in data engineering, integration consulting, or technical services focused on custom development.

Practical notes

• Salary Range: San Francisco: $145,400 - $175,000; Raleigh or Remote: $132,200 - $159,000.
