About the role
Pendo's People team integrates business strategy with human resources systems, decisions, and leadership practices to support company growth. This team collaborates across the organization to attract, develop, and retain talent, while operating with agility, clarity, and sound judgment. This specific role focuses on the People agenda for Pendo's Revenue and Marketing departments.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop a 3-6 month People roadmap for the GTM organization, translating company-wide People strategy into actionable plans.
- Lead a small, global team of People Partners, setting priorities, coaching, and ensuring consistent practices across markets.
- Oversee workforce planning for the GTM organization, anticipating hiring needs and collaborating with Talent Acquisition on pipeline and organizational design.
- Create and maintain succession plans for key GTM roles, addressing talent gaps and supporting leaders with team structure and career progression.
- Partner with GTM leadership to identify, develop, and retain high-performing talent through development plans and retention strategies.
- Manage performance cycles and employee relations, coaching managers on feedback, promotions, corrective actions, and investigations.
- Advise GTM leaders and managers on strategic and challenging conversations, identifying and addressing capability gaps.
- Utilize Workday and Pendo's analytics tools to analyze attrition, engagement, and talent data, translating insights into business decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive HR business partner experience.
- 5+ years of HRBP experience specifically within a GTM organization in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
- Proven ability to partner with VP and C-level GTM leaders on talent strategy, workforce planning, and organizational design, with measurable results.
- Experience scaling enterprise sales organizations, including knowledge of complex sales cycles, incentive programs, and the MEDDPIC process.
- 3-5 years of experience leading a team of People Partners or HR professionals, preferably across global regions.
- Extensive hands-on experience independently managing complex employee relations, including investigations, corrective actions, and separations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, business acumen, and change management experience.
- Active use of AI tools to enhance HR workflows, with the ability to describe specific applications and their productivity impact.
Nice to have
- Experience supporting international GTM teams, particularly in EMEA or APAC.
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively within a Center of Excellence model (Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, L&D, DEI).
- Comfort operating in dynamic environments where organizational design and priorities can shift rapidly.
- Familiarity with Pendo, Salesforce, or similar GTM tooling.
- Prior experience developing manager development programs or retention frameworks.
- Proficiency with Workday, including data extraction, report generation, and system navigation.
