Sr. Data Scientist

About the role

The GTM Intelligence team at Pendo develops analytical solutions and machine learning models to improve outcomes across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Engineering. You will manage the full lifecycle of these projects, from identifying business problems to deploying models and ensuring stakeholders can effectively use your findings.

What you'll do

• Frame business problems and apply predictive modeling or analytics to mitigate risks and capture opportunities.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, revenue operations, and GTM stakeholders to ensure solutions are actionable and interpretable.
• Present findings and model outputs through presentations, written reports, and video updates.
• Use AI-assisted development tools like Cursor and Claude Code to prototype and iterate quickly.
• Document technical work and create reusable patterns to support team growth.
• Partner with GTM teams to drive the adoption of your tools and models.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in data science, analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Bachelor or master degree in a STEM field.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and insight generation.
• Strong foundation in statistics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.
• Experience working within or alongside GTM functions such as RevOps, Sales operations, or Marketing analytics.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with recurring revenue business models.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with LLM-based workflows, prompt engineering, or agentic AI.
• Experience using BI platforms like Omni, Looker, or Tableau.
• Background in B2B SaaS, specifically with customer health or product analytics.
• Ability to quantify business impact in terms of retention, pipeline, or efficiency.
• Experience working on small, high-ownership teams.
