Security Engineer, Incident Response at Peloton.
About the role
Peloton is seeking a Security Engineer to join our Security and Operations team in New York. You will move beyond traditional SOC structures to build detection logic, automate workflows, and define the technical roadmap for our evolving security infrastructure.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Analyze threat intelligence to conduct proactive threat hunting across the enterprise.
- Identify and track vulnerabilities, threat actors, and indicators of compromise.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish security baselines and build detection workflows.
- Provide triage support for active incidents and investigations.
- Design and implement security incident playbooks and runbooks.
- Create reports and dashboards for leadership regarding security posture and findings.
- Automate repetitive SOC tasks using AI-powered pipelines and LLM-assisted investigation tools.
- Develop custom security tooling from concept to deployment.
- Translate incident learnings into actionable risk-reduction controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Security.
- Professional background in incident response or threat detection.
- Proficiency with cloud environments including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes, SaaS platforms like O365 and Google Workspace, and IAM.
- Experience with SIEM tools, data lakes, and EDR solutions.
- Ability to use AI coding tools to accelerate the development of security solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as GCIH, GCFE, GCIA, GCFA, or AWS Security Specialty.
