What you'll do

• Take ownership of product features from conception to deployment, establishing the standards for our development processes.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering, CEO, designer, and customers to enhance our web application, GraphQL API, and embeddable components.
• Deliver updates frequently, transitioning from product requirement documents to production releases weekly. Your responsibilities will include designing schemas, developing APIs, coding the frontend, writing tests, and analyzing user interactions with the product.
• Lay the groundwork for future development by creating foundational patterns for API and data model design, a shared component library, and a comprehensive testing framework.
• Integrate AI tools into our engineering processes to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
• Focus on optimizing product performance and user experience, ensuring that our quality is evident in every interaction.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and delivering customer-facing products, with at least 3 years spent in a startup or scaling environment.
• Proficiency across the technology stack, including frontend technologies like TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Tailwind, Figma, and Storybook, as well as backend technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Strawberry GraphQL, and Postgres.
• Experience in designing schemas and APIs that can be utilized by the team. Familiarity with similar modern tech stacks is essential, even if you have not used the exact tools we employ.
• A strong commitment to craftsmanship in software development, with attention to detail in areas such as transition animations, database schema design, and naming conventions.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000 per year, along with significant equity and comprehensive benefits, including fully covered medical, vision, and dental insurance, a 401K plan, and flexible paid time off. This role requires in-person attendance in our NYC office four days a week.
