Online Payment Relationship Manager

About the role

This position manages the strategic partnerships that support our B2B invoicing platform and global payment infrastructure. You will oversee the ecosystem of acquirers, processors, and card schemes to ensure reliable and scalable payment operations.

What you'll do

• Act as the primary point of contact for acquirers, payment processors, and card schemes to drive long-term partnership value.
• Handle day-to-day and strategic vendor management, including contract negotiations, performance reviews, and roadmap alignment.
• Monitor partner performance against SLAs and commercial terms to identify gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Coordinate with internal Product, Compliance, Finance, and Operations teams to align on partner capabilities and initiatives.
• Utilize analytics to track transaction performance, fee structures, and partner health to provide actionable insights for leadership.
• Manage the end-to-end process for reversed payments.

Requirements

• 4 to 5+ years of experience in the online or mobile payments industry or a relevant fintech company.
• Proven history of managing relationships with acquirers, payment processors, or card schemes in B2B or B2C environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of payment rails, card schemes, and the acquiring ecosystem.
• Demonstrated success in contract negotiations, partner governance, and performance management.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret transaction data and fee structures.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects from planning through execution.
• Ability to represent the company externally at a senior level.

Practical notes

• Annual base salary range is $120,000 to $190,000 USD.
• Total compensation includes health, disability, and life insurance, a 401k plan, paid time off, and sick leave.
• This role is eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
