Backend Developer (C# or Java)

About the role

Join the Platform team to build and maintain the systems that power global financial workflows. You will take a lead role in the design, development, and deployment of backend architecture while collaborating across R&D and product departments.

What you'll do

• Lead the design, architecture, and production deployment of backend systems.
• Create scalable and maintainable solutions that serve internal and external stakeholders.
• Partner with Product, Design/UX, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Improve engineering standards by implementing new technologies and refining development processes.
• Conduct code reviews and serve as a technical point of contact for the team.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot issues, and manage incident resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
• Expertise in SQL and database management.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience building and maintaining microservices.
• Ability to design new functionality within complex, existing components.
• BA/BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience from military technology units like 8200.

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on knowledge of non-relational databases like MongoDB.
• Experience with message queues or streaming platforms including RabbitMQ, SQS, or Kafka.
• Background in mentoring interns or new team members.
