Portfolio Analyst - Asset Valuation

About the role

Payjoy is looking for a detail-oriented professional to join the Portfolio Management team in Mexico City. You will focus on maintaining valuation models and supporting financial reporting processes while collaborating with the Finance and Risk departments.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Update and maintain the Fair Value model under senior supervision.
• Manage data inputs and reconcile variances to support monthly accounting cycles.
• Prepare datasets and test assumptions to refine forecasting accuracy.
• Analyze trends regarding default rates and capital requirements alongside cross-functional partners.
• Document and execute stress testing and backtesting procedures.
• Create reports and visual summaries of financial insights for internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work within a team.
• Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, or forecasting through internships or academic work.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in an additional statistical programming language.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, asset valuation, or forecasting methodologies.
