About the role
Payjoy provides financial services to underserved populations in emerging markets through secured credit and point-of-sale financing. This role supports the Strategy and Corporate Development team in driving global business growth through M&A, new market entry, and product expansion.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop intricate financial models in Excel for P&L forecasting, valuation, and scenario planning.
- Assess potential M&A targets and investments by reviewing financials and managing due diligence processes.
- Collect and interpret data from internal performance metrics, market research, and competitor analysis to provide actionable business insights.
- Create high-level presentations for the Board of Directors, investors, and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal departments including finance, legal, product, operations, and sales across various global regions.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of professional experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate strategy, or similar analytical functions.
- Expert proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and data analytics.
- Fluency in both English and Spanish.
- Strong understanding of financial services, specifically lending operations, cohort analysis, unit economics, and credit KPIs like LTV, NPV, portfolio yield, and loss rates.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a self-motivated approach.
Nice to have
- Prior experience in Fintech, banking, or consumer credit.
- Proficiency in Portuguese.
