Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Pave provides a compensation platform that helps over 8,500 organizations manage pay decisions using real-time data and predictive intelligence. You will join the Core Platform team to develop the foundational services and infrastructure that support our entire engineering organization.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain foundational services, APIs, and abstractions used across the product.
• Manage critical infrastructure including user authentication, authorization, and data modeling.
• Lead complex technical initiatives that require coordination across multiple internal teams.
• Build and scale the data pipelines and infrastructure that power our compensation intelligence tools.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in backend engineering focused on data-intensive applications.
• Proficiency with modern web technologies, specifically TypeScript and Node.js.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale technical projects involving high ambiguity and diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with data infrastructure, ETL processes, and data modeling.
• Ability to design generalized platform solutions that address challenges across multiple products.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working with ML or AI platforms.

Practical notes

• Targeted cash compensation for P4 level: $195,500 to $264,500 based on performance and experience.
