What you'll do

• Perform deep analysis of patent documents to assign status labels such as core, recommended, low-confidence, or excluded.
• Deconstruct patent claims, descriptions, and family trees to identify the specific elements that establish relevance to a drug candidate.
• Assess the linkage between patents and biological targets, chemical structures, therapeutic indications, or underlying mechanisms of action.
• Create comprehensive documentation that includes source citations, defined relationship types, confidence scores, and detailed rationales for each classification.
• Contribute to the iterative development of data schemas, quality benchmarks, and filtering logic to improve dataset accuracy over time.
• Partner with the AI Native Data Engineer to convert your qualitative analytical judgments into structured prompts and high-quality assurance datasets.
• Utilize artificial intelligence tools to streamline repetitive tasks and ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability in your daily workflows.
• Conduct thorough reviews of existing classifications to identify discrepancies and implement corrections to maintain database integrity.
• Synthesize complex patent language into concise summaries that highlight the essential points relevant to drug-patent relationships.
• Act as the primary quality gatekeeper for the accuracy of patent-drug linkages before data is released to downstream teams.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with pharmaceutical data, life sciences intelligence, or patent analysis in a relevant capacity.
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading and interpreting English-language patent documentation without reliance on external translation for core meaning.
• Exhibit the ability to clearly articulate reasoning, evidence, and areas of uncertainty in written reports and collaborative discussions.
• Show prior experience using artificial intelligence tools to increase efficiency and consistency in managing complex analytical workflows.
• Hold a degree or equivalent experience that demonstrates a foundational understanding of scientific or technical concepts.
• Be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple analytical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Have a strong attention to detail and the patience required to review dense technical material over extended periods.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Singapore without requiring sponsorship for employment passes.
