Senior Tech Lead, 4G/5G stack L2, with AI/ML expertise

About the role

Parallelwireless is seeking a technical lead to advance our Open RAN and GreenRAN initiatives. You will focus on the development and optimization of embedded protocol stacks to improve network efficiency and performance.

What you'll do

• Manage the entire software development lifecycle for L2 and L3 embedded stacks, covering design, implementation, testing, and integration.
• Build new features for our product roadmap and resolve complex technical issues for our global client base.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of professional experience in the field.
• Mastery of C and C++ programming within Linux environments.
• Deep expertise in MAC and RLC layers.
• Solid understanding of 4G and 5G network architectures and end-to-end solutions.
• Familiarity with 3GPP RAN and O-RAN standards.
• Experience developing cellular radio products that follow 3GPP E-UTRA and NR specifications.
• Knowledge of RAN protocol layers including PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, and RRC.
• Proficiency with networking interfaces such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, and UDP.
• Strong ability to analyze logs and debug software.
• Hands-on experience using debugging tools like GDB, QXDM, TM500, and QCAT.

Nice to have

• Practical experience applying AI/ML to telecom or RAN environments, such as network optimization.
• Familiarity with Git for version control.
• Understanding of the O-RAN E3 interface and dApp development.
