Partner Engineer
Job description
About the role
The Partner Engineer serves as the primary technical liaison for Parafin's most critical platform integrations, owning the full lifecycle of partner implementations from initial scoping through sustained production support. This role demands fluency in both deep technical execution and consultative communication, as you translate complex platform capabilities into reliable integration solutions for external partners. You will act as the hands-on counterpart on the post-sales side, directly responsible for driving technical onboarding, resolving cross-team blockers, and ensuring seamless operation of integrated products in production environments. This position requires a builder who thrives on ownership, who can balance strategic influence with tactical debugging across distributed systems. You will shape Parafin's technical GTM by capturing real-world feedback and translating it into product and API improvements that strengthen our platform moat. The role is mission-critical to scaling our partner network with speed and excellence.

What you'll do
Scale technical onboarding with a focus on reducing the time to integrate with Parafin products, including owning and building internal or partner-facing tools to streamline onboarding.
Drive the technical implementation of new capital launches from initial planning through partner coordination, issue resolution, comprehensive testing, and final go-live.
Act as the central point of contact for identifying and debugging critical technical issues, coordinating prompt resolutions between internal teams and platform partners.
Where necessary, provide tailored solutions to meet partners' integration needs while maintaining alignment with Parafin's platform strategy.
Document integration details and processes both internally and for partners, ensuring knowledge transfer and ease of support as our partner portfolio scales.
Be the voice for our partners internally, capturing integration learnings and feedback to directly influence the product roadmap, APIs, and platform improvements.
Provide partner-focused support, monitoring, and stability post-launch, ensuring integrations meet agreed service levels and performance targets.
Perform ongoing technical account management post-launch, optimizing integrations, expanding product usage, and resolving integration-related challenges swiftly.
Drive tooling and automation to scale repeatable integration patterns, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability across the partner ecosystem.
Work with Product & Platform teams to evolve partner-facing assets based on real-world partner needs and observed integration patterns.
Instrument telemetry, logs, dashboards, and monitoring to track partner integrations at scale and surface issues before they impact customers.
Uphold technical documentation standards across the company and serve as the flag bearer for managing our public-facing documentation.
Demonstrate strong ownership by leading end-to-end initiatives that span discovery, execution, and sustained operation of partner integrations.
Act as a pragmatic problem-solver who balances partner demands with engineering constraints to deliver timely, high-quality outcomes.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
Proficiency with integration technologies, including REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs, data pipelines, and embeddable UI components.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a partner-focused approach and a demonstrated history of raising the bar for partner experience.
Great intuition for navigating standard, generalizable solutions versus custom partner solutions, and guiding partners toward approaches that balance partner needs with engineering resourcing.
Comfortable exploring and navigating Parafin's codebase, with particular experience in React, Scala, and Python.
Proven experience in creating working demos and production applications that showcase your ability to apply technical skills to practical use cases.
