This position focuses on the development of advanced applications and services for options trading. You will collaborate with various teams to create tools that enhance pricing and execution strategies, while also tackling complex distributed systems challenges. This role is integral to supporting new global initiatives within the firm.

What you'll do
- Design and implement innovative pricing and trading tools for options traders.
- Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and business leaders to enhance workflows for pricing, execution, and risk management.
- Develop comprehensive applications that include modern web frontends, backend services, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Create user-friendly interfaces that allow traders to manage trades efficiently in real-time.
- Architect scalable backend services that facilitate pricing, workflow management, market data handling, and trading operations.
- Build systems to support new markets and options that the firm has not previously traded.
- Gain insights into various global markets while contributing to the international expansion of the Options platform.
- Rapidly prototype new concepts and transition them into stable production systems.
- Analyze intricate business and technical challenges to deliver effective software solutions.
- Continuously enhance the performance, scalability, and usability of critical trading applications.
- Work alongside engineering, quantitative research, and trading teams to simplify complex financial concepts into user-friendly software.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, focusing on complex application development.
- Proven experience in building full stack applications with modern technologies.
- Proficient in TypeScript and React.
- Skilled in designing scalable backend services using C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience in developing real-time, high-performance applications.
- Strong knowledge of API design, asynchronous systems, and event-driven architectures.
- A keen interest in creating user-centric experiences through thoughtful design and rapid prototyping.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle open-ended technical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Background in trading systems, financial markets, or capital markets technology.
- Understanding of options, derivatives, OTC products, or market structures.
- Experience in building visualization tools for complex datasets.
Practical notes
The salary range for this position is between $175,000 and $350,000. Additionally, the selected candidate will be eligible for a discretionary incentive compensation program and various benefits, including medical and life insurance, retirement plans, and access to healthcare programs.
