About the role
This position sits at the intersection of careful laboratory execution and the innovative spirit of a growing digital olfaction company. You will own the preparation of application samples and solutions that directly support testing, experimentation, and project objectives for our expanding R&D operations. In this role, you will organize and maintain chemical inventory, ensuring accurate records and availability of required materials for daily workflows. You will maintain laboratory equipment and proactively manage supply inventory, including the ordering of chemicals and consumables. You will follow strict chemical safety protocols for handling, storage, and disposal to ensure a safe work environment for everyone. Using liquid-handling instruments, you will prepare mixtures, formulas, and test samples with a high degree of precision. Collaboration with testing teams and the Lab Manager will be essential to maintain workflow, anticipate daily priorities, and support ongoing projects. You will ensure strict adherence to procedures, documentation standards, and quality expectations in every task. You will multitask and solve problems effectively while meeting project deadlines in both independent and team-based settings. Finally, you will support additional lab duties as assigned, actively contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

Perform detailed documentation for all laboratory activities to ensure traceability and compliance.
Conduct routine quality checks on samples and instruments to uphold high standards of accuracy and reliability.
Assist in the calibration and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
Support the development and execution of standard operating procedures for laboratory processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing laboratory efficiency and safety.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of chemical safety protocols and safe laboratory practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing project needs.
Ability to stand or walk for extended periods while performing laboratory duties.
Ability to lift and carry up to fifty pounds safely in a laboratory setting.
Ability to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work scheduled shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by project timelines.
Nice to have
Fragrance industry experience.
Experience in a high-throughput lab environment.
Practical notes
Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000
