IT Cybersecurity Specialist

About the role

OPSPro is looking for a specialist to manage NIST and CMMC compliance while providing high-level technical support for government and commercial clients. You will handle security monitoring, incident response, and the deployment of network and cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Execute and manage NIST and CMMC compliance standards for clients.
• Monitor security systems and investigate potential threats.
• Install and maintain cloud and on-premises networks, including firewalls, servers, and wireless systems.
• Provide tier 3 technical support for end-users and resolve complex hardware or software issues.
• Manage corporate email, intranets, and cloud-hosted environments like Office 365, Azure, and AWS.
• Create technical documentation, including procedures, reports, and cost analyses.
• Assist the Cybersecurity Manager with client onboarding and project handovers.
• Update DNS records and content management systems.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in computer systems support, network administration, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on technical proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Intune, EntraID, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Purview.
• Experience configuring firewalls, VPNs, and Layer 3/4 switches.
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and Apple/Mac environments.
• Ability to travel domestically and participate in on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on client service and independent problem-solving.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certifications.
• Practical experience with NIST 800-171 or CMMC implementation.
• Background in Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with SIEM solutions and AWS administration.
