What you'll do
Lead the complete delivery of complex software applications, ensuring high standards of quality and best practices.
Develop reusable frameworks and abstractions to simplify tasks for other engineers, providing documentation for independent use.
Enhance test coverage for end-to-end business processes across multiple systems.
Introduce and champion new tools, techniques, and coding patterns to the engineering team.
Drive technical decision-making, participate in architectural discussions, and propose solutions for complex system challenges.
Collaborate with other teams to address architectural gaps and build integrated systems.
Take ownership of critical projects, providing leadership and ensuring successful outcomes through effective management and communication.
Engage with stakeholders to understand needs and navigate complex or conflicting priorities.
Clearly explain business strategy, technical concepts, and designs to non-technical audiences.
Translate business requirements into efficient and scalable software solutions in partnership with product managers and designers.
Lead cross-team initiatives that yield significant results across engineering, product, and design.
Work through technical, organizational, and scheduling complexities to align teams and achieve positive outcomes.
Serve as the technical leader for the team, offering guidance and mentorship to senior engineers.
Act as a technical counterpart to engineering managers, providing feedback to help address team gaps.
Advocate for technologies and processes that improve the efficiency of multiple teams.
Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and maintainability.
Identify and implement improvements within the software development lifecycle.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, introducing relevant advancements.
Requirements
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with equivalent education and experience.
A proven history of successfully delivering high-quality, sophisticated software solutions in a leadership capacity.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C++.
Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
Demonstrated experience in web application development, RESTful APIs, and frontend technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
