Bilingual English and Spanish Member Loyalty Representative

About the role

Oportun is hiring individuals with backgrounds in hospitality, sales, cashiering, or customer service to join our team. You will serve as a primary point of contact for our members, helping them understand our financial products while conducting community outreach to expand our reach.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Provide friendly service and process transactions while maintaining member privacy and following company protocols.
• Spend over 50 percent of your time conducting outreach at community events, partner locations, and local businesses to generate leads and assist with applications.
• Work both independently and as part of a team to meet daily sales and service targets.
• Educate potential members on our financial services using tablets and QR codes.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Perform administrative duties on a computer for 3 to 6 hours daily.
• Travel between local work sites and outreach locations as needed.
• Uphold company values and assist with occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in sales, customer service, cashiering, or hospitality.
• Ability to work a flexible, rotating schedule including weekends, with shifts set every two weeks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions for outreach activities.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to stand while assisting members.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with office equipment like scanners and tablets.

Skills & tools

• Experience with iPads, scanners, and standard office software.
• Ability to organize and file physical documentation.
