Oportun provides financial services designed to help members reach their goals through accessible borrowing and budgeting tools. As a Member Loyalty Representative, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our members, focusing on building relationships and educating the community about our financial products.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Provide friendly service to members and process transactions while adhering to company procedures.
• Spend over 50% of your time conducting outreach at community events, local businesses, and partner locations to generate leads.
• Use iPads to assist potential members with application starts and scan QR codes during field activities.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet lending and servicing targets.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store, including trash removal and floor care.
• Perform administrative duties on a computer for 3 to 6 hours daily.
• Travel between local work sites and outreach locations within a standard commuting distance.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in hospitality, sales, cashiering, or customer service.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends, with shifts set every two weeks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions for outreach tasks.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to stand for extended periods during member interactions.

Skills & tools

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Experience with office equipment such as scanners, phones, and iPads.
• Ability to organize and maintain paper files.
