About the role

Oportun is a financial services firm dedicated to helping members reach their financial goals through accessible credit and budgeting tools. As a Member Loyalty Representative, you will act as the face of the company, providing direct support and education to our members. This role involves a mix of in-store service and community outreach to help individuals build their financial future.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Greet members warmly and provide high-quality service.
• Handle transactions accurately while adhering to company procedures and data security protocols.
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet daily lending and service targets.
• Spend over 50% of your time on outreach, including visiting local businesses, attending community events, and engaging with potential members at Lending As A Service partner locations.
• Use iPads and QR codes to assist new applicants during community engagement activities.
• Maintain the store environment through light cleaning tasks like mopping, sweeping, and trash removal.
• Use computers for administrative and member-servicing tasks for 3 to 6 hours daily.
• Travel between local work sites and outreach locations as required.

Requirements

• Fluency in both English and Spanish.
• Previous experience in hospitality, sales, cashiering, or customer service.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends, with shifts set every two weeks.
• Capacity to work outdoors year-round for marketing and outreach activities.
• Physical ability to stand while assisting members and lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Basic computer proficiency and experience with office equipment like scanners and phones.
