About the role
openrouter is seeking its first dedicated Enterprise Product Manager. This role focuses on enabling large organizations to utilize openrouter's AI model catalog while maintaining control over their policies and expenditures. You will address challenges enterprises face with limited model access, helping them experiment with advanced AI capabilities.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage the entire enterprise product roadmap, from initial procurement and security reviews to driving daily usage and account expansion.
- Collaborate directly with Fortune 100 design partners, translating their needs into a product roadmap and ensuring enterprise-grade quality.
- Develop the core enterprise platform, including identity and access management, governance controls, organizational tools, data privacy, and financial controls.
- Discover opportunities to enhance openrouter for enterprises by analyzing AI trends and making them accessible.
- Design product strategies to expand adoption from individual teams to organization-wide deployments.
- Represent enterprise customers internally by participating in sales calls and site visits, using feedback to inform product development.
- Work across departments with engineering, design, sales, security, and customer success to achieve enterprise goals.
- Uphold high standards for product quality, ensuring trust and clarity in enterprise adoption.
Requirements
- 6 or more years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on enterprise products.
- Proven ability to advance a product into higher market segments.
- Experience building technical, analytics-focused products with a strong design sensibility, ideally for sophisticated technical users.
- Familiarity with a sales-led enterprise go-to-market approach, including working with Fortune 500 clients and complex procurement processes.
- Understanding of IT, security, and administrative buyer perspectives, including requirements for large-scale software deployment and security team approvals.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise readiness features such as role-based access control, single sign-on, SCIM, and audit logging.
- Strong technical judgment, comfortable discussing infrastructure, APIs, and security trade-offs with engineers.
- Proactive and action-oriented, engaging with customers, iterating on products, and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written communication and a collaborative approach with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams.
Nice to have
- Experience selling to or developing for regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, or public sector, including familiarity with SOC 2 and HIPAA.
- Track record of scaling an enterprise product from early stages at a high-growth company.
- Understanding of the AI ecosystem and enterprise needs for responsible AI deployment.
