What you'll do
- Create and maintain a consistent narrative for the impact of threat and abuse prevention across key safety and strategic risk areas.
- Transform complex research, investigations, and technical findings into clear materials for internal and authorized external audiences.
- Prepare leadership briefings, strategic risk reports, and presentations to help decision-makers quickly grasp the significance of the underlying work.
- Develop evidence-based safety impact retrospectives using existing data, avoiding new reporting burdens.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to identify stories and coordinate messaging for external materials.
- Work with Global Affairs to create briefings for government and policy stakeholders.
- Improve the quality of threat reports, safety publications, and other engagement materials.
- Partner with analysts and investigators to communicate what the evidence supports, including any uncertainties or limitations.
- Support specific safety partnerships and external engagements with clear narratives and prepared materials.
- Establish simple methods to identify and reuse strong evidence and existing team outputs across various audiences and channels.
Requirements
- Extensive background in strategic communications, intelligence, journalism, public policy, government, research, or trust and safety, focusing on clarifying complex issues.
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities to convert technical or sensitive information into clear, accurate, and engaging stories.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to tailor communications for executives, technical teams, policy partners, and government audiences.
- Ability to distinguish credible evidence from anecdotes and communicate impact without exaggeration.
- Experience collaborating with diverse teams, including communications, legal, government affairs, policy, and technical specialists.
- Excellent judgment when handling confidential information, emerging risks, and sensitive topics.
- Enthusiasm for building new capabilities and establishing durable processes, relationships, and products.
- A strong commitment to the safe deployment of advanced AI and ensuring critical analysis reaches relevant decision-makers.
