About the role
JPMorgan Chase is hiring a Software Engineer III to join the Consumer and Community banking technology division. You will work within an agile team to build secure, scalable, and high-quality mobile technology solutions.

What you'll do
- Develop, design, and troubleshoot software solutions while applying creative problem-solving to technical challenges.
- Write secure production code and maintain synchronized algorithms.
- Create architectural designs and ensure code adheres to established constraints.
- Analyze large datasets to generate reports and visualizations that improve system performance.
- Detect patterns and hidden issues in data to refine system architecture and coding standards.

Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification.
- Minimum 2 years of applied experience in Quality Engineering or QA, specifically with hands-on mobile testing for iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in manual testing methods including exploratory, regression, and functional testing.
- Experience with Android Studio and Xcode for debugging, log inspection, and emulator usage.
- Familiarity with mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, Espresso, UIAutomator, XCUITest, or XCTest.
- Ability to create test strategies across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Experience testing mobile architectures like MVC or MVVM.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline integration using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Bitrise.
- Competency in Git for source control and team collaboration.
- Understanding of mobile security protocols including OAuth2, OIDC, PKCE, biometrics, and secure storage.
- Strong diagnostic skills to interpret logs and device signals.
Nice to have
- Experience developing mobile test automation frameworks, including reporting and flake reduction.
- Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards such as WCAG.
- Experience with UI component libraries and design systems.
- Proficiency in API testing tools like Postman or service virtualization.
- Cloud-native experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with crash analytics, performance profiling, and observability tools.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools for test data generation or automation scaffolding.
