Key facts
What you'll do
- Lead capacity planning and demand forecasting for a high-traffic, latency-sensitive trading environment.
- Architect systems for cloud cost attribution and chargeback to ensure transparency across product teams.
- Build automated tools to detect cost anomalies and manage infrastructure rightsizing with safety guardrails.
- Collaborate with Data Science to develop unit economics models and long-term cost projections.
- Manage AWS contract strategies, including reserved capacity and discount programs.
- Develop AI-driven automation for reporting, triage, and remediation of cost-related issues.
Requirements
- Proficiency in distributed data processing tools like Spark and workflow orchestration via Airflow.
- Practical expertise in Kubernetes, specifically regarding resource efficiency and infrastructure scaling.
- Experience designing automation that modifies production infrastructure with safe rollback and rollout procedures.
- Ability to analyze cloud cost models, including the financial impact of reserved versus on-demand capacity.
- Strong communication skills to bridge the gap between technical engineering teams and financial stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of cloud billing data, including usage reports, Savings Plan amortization, and enterprise agreements.

Practical notes
Base salary for this Bellevue, WA position ranges from $230,000 to $270,000. Compensation includes bonus opportunities, equity, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive health benefits covering 100% of employee premiums and 90% for dependents.
