What you'll do

• Lead the technical architecture and delivery for the Android/iOS Trading Bot codebase, also contributing to Copy Trading.
• Improve code quality, stability, and performance across all strategy creation, management, copying, and following flows.
• Spearhead major technical initiatives, including the Kotlin/Swift-to-Rust/UniFFI migration, modularization, and binary compatibility.
• Address and resolve critical performance issues such as crashes, ANRs, and slow startup times.
• Participate in product requirement discussions, designing sound technical solutions while safeguarding product performance and user experience.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to advance the Trading Bot roadmap, introducing new strategy types, sharing features, and AI-powered bot experiences.
• Monitor industry trends, refine technical architecture, and enhance the team's engineering capabilities through training and knowledge sharing.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance to elevate the team's overall proficiency.
• Guide the team in exploring and integrating AI into business scenarios, fostering product and technology innovation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and deploying production Android/iOS applications.
• Expertise in Kotlin and a strong understanding of multi-module architecture, dependency management, binary compatibility, and platform performance (ANR, crashes, startup, memory).
• Proven ability to lead mid to large-scale projects from start to finish.
• High standards for architecture and engineering quality, with a track record of improving large, complex codebases.
• Capacity to define technical direction and translate it into a product roadmap that drives revenue.
• Background in trading or fintech, with client-side experience at a crypto exchange, brokerage, or fintech app.
• Familiarity with core domains such as order placement, market data, and asset management.
• Ability to influence and mentor engineers, improving their technical skills through reviews, design guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Skill in building alignment across teams without relying on formal authority.

Nice to have

• Experience with cross-language development, specifically Rust, UniFFI/FFI, or iOS Swift/Obj-C, and comfort managing a shared cross-platform core.
• In-depth knowledge of automated trading, including trading bots, grid/DCA strategies, perpetuals, derivatives, copy trading, market-making, or arbitrage.
• AI engineering experience, including LLM fundamentals, prompt engineering, RAG, or agent workflows, and an ability to integrate AI into product and engineering.
• Proficiency with performance and reliability tools such as APM, tracing, and crash/ANR triage at scale.
• Experience with scaled CI/CD systems, including large monorepo or multi-module release pipelines.
• Prior leadership or mentorship of a client-side team, driving cross-team collaboration and technical reviews.
