Principal People Business Partner, R&D Engineering

About the role

We are looking for a strategic human resources leader to advise our CTO and a group of 10 senior executives within the global R&D Engineering division. You will focus on high-level consulting for a workforce of over 1,200 people, including 730 employees based in the Americas. This position uses a pod-based service model to delegate routine administrative tasks to specialized partners, allowing you to prioritize executive coaching and organizational strategy.

• Provide direct strategic guidance to the CTO and 10 leaders at the VP or SVP level.
• Manage human capital strategy for a global engineering organization of 1,200+ staff members.
• Collaborate with Center of Excellence partners to streamline operational and transactional HR processes.
• Operate within a pod structure to ensure executive stakeholders receive dedicated support.
• Oversee talent initiatives for the 730 employees located in the AMER region.

Requirements

• Experience providing direct partnership to executive-level leadership within an engineering or technical organization.
• Ability to manage complex organizational structures and large-scale workforce planning.
• Proven capability in offloading tactical work to specialized internal teams to maintain a focus on high-impact consulting.
