About the role

Observable Space creates precision optics platforms for space and Earth applications, serving clients like NASA and the US DoD. We are looking for a leader to expand our consumer and small commercial market presence for our ground-based optical products. You will oversee global revenue growth through direct sales and reseller channels while shaping our product strategy.

What you'll do

• Expand revenue for our ground-based optics portfolio.
• Design and implement domestic and international sales strategies.
• Recruit and manage a network of global resellers.
• Find and capture new market segments for space optics.
• Oversee the e-commerce platform to boost online revenue and user experience.
• Partner with marketing to refine audience targeting and brand awareness.
• Coordinate with engineering and production to ensure product roadmaps meet market demands.
• Integrate your efforts with the broader sales team to improve product placement.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business, Aerospace, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of sales experience within space-optics, aerospace, or high-tech sectors.
• Demonstrated success in leading sales strategies for consumer markets.
• Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles.
• Experience building and maintaining international and domestic reseller networks.
• Ability to travel for business as required.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree.
• Familiarity with the space industry or astro-photography.
• Experience with hardware and software-enabled communication platforms.
• Background in managing e-commerce sales channels.
