About the role
The Silicon Co-Design Group is seeking an engineer to transform our chip design and automation infrastructure using AI. You will lead the transition of our toolchain to AI-driven workflows, directly influencing the development of future CPU, GPU, and Tegra SoC products.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect AI-based systems to accelerate and scale post-silicon validation processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and remove bottlenecks in the silicon development cycle.
- Research and evaluate new AI frameworks to determine their viability for production integration.
- Develop data systems to measure the performance of AI implementations and drive continuous technical improvements.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in CS, EE, CE, or a related field with 5+ years of experience in ML, AI, or data-intensive backend systems.
- 2+ years of experience independently managing the end-to-end lifecycle of LLM-powered workflows, AI agents, or intelligent automation.
- Proficiency in Python and at least one static language such as C, C++, C#, Java, or Scala.
- Background in silicon development, including knowledge of chip characterization, process variation, statistical error rates, or power and timing analysis.
- Practical experience with lab debug and silicon bring-up using logic analyzers, multimeters, or oscilloscopes.
- Understanding of computer architecture, firmware, driver structures, and hardware interaction.
Nice to have
- Experience leading root cause analysis for complex system-level hardware and software issues.
- Ability to convert AI research into functional production tools.
- Familiarity with LLM development and deployment methodologies.
- Experience building orchestration agents that manage large-scale toolsets.
- Proficiency with PyTorch, TensorFlow, NeMo Agent Toolkit, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or n8n.

- Salary range for Level 3: 152,000 USD - 241,500 USD.
- Salary range for Level 4: 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD.
