About the role

Join the team building the foundational systems that measure and optimize our autonomous driving software. You will design and maintain the internal tools that allow engineers to analyze system efficiency and latency across our vehicle fleet.

What you'll do

• Develop and scale infrastructure to monitor the performance of the Nuro Driver stack.
• Create automated diagnostic tools to identify bottlenecks in real-time autonomous operations.
• Collaborate with engineering groups to define performance benchmarks for new autonomy features.
• Build data pipelines that process telemetry from our vehicle fleet to drive optimization efforts.

Requirements

• Professional experience in software engineering focused on performance, systems, or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in C++ or Python for developing high-performance tools.
• Experience working with large-scale data processing or distributed systems.
• Ability to translate complex performance metrics into actionable insights for the engineering team.

Nice to have

• Background in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or embedded systems.
• Familiarity with profiling tools and hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure for managing massive datasets.
