About the role

Nuro is seeking a leader to direct our systems engineering efforts as we transition our autonomous driving software toward licensing models for robotaxis and consumer vehicles. You will oversee the integration of our proprietary software stack into diverse hardware platforms. This role is central to evolving our technology from dedicated delivery bots to broader autonomous applications.

What you'll do

• Manage the technical strategy for integrating the Nuro Driver and Nuro Toolkit into third-party vehicle architectures.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to ensure safety and performance standards are met across new autonomous platforms.
• Define system requirements for licensing our automated driving software to external partners.
• Oversee the transition of engineering workflows from specialized delivery hardware to scalable robotaxi and passenger vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading systems engineering teams within the autonomous vehicle or robotics industry.
• Deep understanding of full-stack autonomous driving technology and hardware-software integration.
• Ability to manage complex technical roadmaps involving multiple vehicle platforms.
• Experience navigating the transition from R&D or specialized product development to commercial licensing or mass-market deployment.
