About the role
Notion is seeking a Revenue Transformation Analyst to enhance our revenue accounting operations as the company expands and our systems evolve. This position focuses on redesigning workflows, controls, and tools to make the month-end close process faster, more predictable, and scalable. You will collaborate with Revenue Accounting and Systems Engineering, rather than performing routine close tasks.

What you'll do
- Significantly improve the predictability of revenue close by reducing manual effort and operational risks in key workflows.
- Within 90 days, identify and map 1-2 high-friction revenue close workflows, define improvements, and implement an initial change with clear adoption goals.
- Within 90 days, deploy a controlled AI-assisted workflow for repeatable analysis and documentation, including review steps and audit-ready outputs.
- By the end of year one, deliver 2-3 lasting process or tooling enhancements that substantially decrease recurring close effort and error risk.
- By the end of year one, elevate operational rigor in requirements, acceptance criteria, testing, and control narratives to streamline project delivery and adoption.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in revenue accounting, ideally with experience from both a Big Four accounting firm and a SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of ASC 606 and month-end close mechanics, enabling you to identify issues and propose effective solutions.
- Proven ability to improve finance/accounting operations from end-to-end, including reconciliations, tie-outs, variance analysis, and documentation.
- Excellent project management, execution, and organizational skills, with the ability to move projects predictably from concept to rollout.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical teams, translating accounting needs into technical requirements and validating outputs.
- Practical and thoughtful application of AI to enhance work quality and speed in repeatable tasks, with appropriate QA and guardrails.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with usage-based or consumption pricing models and their associated billing and revenue recognition complexities.
- Experience leading complex, cross-functional projects beyond standard audit work.
- Background in revenue operations, revenue accounting transformation, or accounting systems.
