Nooks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the technical vision for our team. You will play a crucial role in developing AI-driven features that enhance sales processes, working closely with customers and guiding architectural decisions. Join us in transforming the sales landscape by building innovative products that empower sales agents.

What you'll do

• Develop AI functionalities that contribute to revenue growth, overseeing the entire process from defining success metrics to deploying solutions using React/TypeScript and Node.js/Python. Over 1,100 customers rely on these features daily.
• Engage directly with customers, collaborating with major accounts through shared communication channels, addressing their needs, and implementing solutions swiftly.
• Establish the technical framework for the team, making critical decisions on agent memory and defining strategies for long-term outbound engagement.
• Elevate the team's performance by mentoring senior engineers, leading complex design reviews, and participating in the recruitment of new talent.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience in engineering, including leadership roles in significant product areas, entrepreneurial experience, or recognized expertise that peers consult.
• Hands-on experience in developing AI features, including troubleshooting agents and creating evaluations to prevent future issues.
• Strong, flexible viewpoints on the design of human-agent collaboration interfaces.
• Comfortable communicating with customers to validate and refine newly developed features.
• Ability to enhance overall company efficiency.
• Located in San Francisco and willing to work in the office at least three days a week.

Nice to have

• Experience in sales technology or related fields.

Skills & tools

• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts.
