About the role
Nominal develops a unified platform for hardware testing and operations, supporting sectors like aerospace, defense, and autonomous systems. This role focuses on maintaining and scaling the cloud infrastructure that allows our engineering team to deploy complex hardware-software solutions with high reliability.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Manage and scale cloud infrastructure to support high-performance engineering workflows.
- Refine CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment speed and developer environment consistency.
- Balance immediate project needs with long-term infrastructure scalability and maintenance.
- Address technical bottlenecks across cloud and on-premise deployment systems.
- Travel to customer sites approximately once or twice per month.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Demonstrated history of building, deploying, and monitoring infrastructure for distributed systems.
- Ability to manage projects from initial planning through final deployment.
- Must meet ITAR requirements: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- Ability to travel 1-2 times per month for customer-facing site visits.

- Experience with Azure cloud environments.

- Compensation: $160,000 to $230,000 per year.
