Lead Endpoint Engineer

About the role

Nightfall AI is seeking a Lead Endpoint Engineer to join the R&D team in Bengaluru. This role focuses on preventing data exfiltration on macOS endpoints. You will be responsible for designing and developing core features for Nightfall's data exfiltration platform.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Design and build applications, system extensions, and services for data exfiltration prevention on macOS.
• Maintain and improve critical agent software running on endpoint devices.
• Take ownership of complex features from initial design through to deployment and provide customer support for issues.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Expertise in either Objective-C or Swift for macOS development.
• Demonstrated experience developing agents specifically for macOS.
• Practical development experience with the Endpoint Security System Extension on macOS.
• Proven track record of leading or being a key individual contributor on significant projects.
• Ability to write clear, well-tested code consistently.
• Strong capability to navigate and debug complex code using available tools, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience conducting OS-level research.
• Experience with kernel-level debugging processes and tools.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is focused on achieving results.
• A natural problem-solver who thrives on challenging tasks.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IOKit on macOS.
• Familiarity with the macOS VFS (Virtual File System) model.
• Ability to apply reverse engineering techniques and debug kernel space code.
