Endpoint Engineer - Mac OS

About the role

Nightfall is building an AI-native platform for data loss prevention and insider risk management. This role focuses on the team responsible for preventing data exfiltration directly on endpoint devices.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Architect and build data exfiltration prevention applications, system extensions, and background services for MacOS.
• Manage and improve the performance of mission-critical endpoint agents.
• Take full ownership of feature development from the initial design phase through to production delivery.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues reported by customers.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Objective-C or Swift specifically for the MacOS environment.
• Demonstrated history of building agents on MacOS.
• Practical experience working with Endpoint Security System Extensions.
• Track record of leading or serving as a key contributor on major technical projects.
• Ability to produce clean, concise, and thoroughly tested code.
• Capability to navigate and debug complex codebases with high attention to detail.
• Experience conducting OS-level research.
• Familiarity with kernel-level debugging tools and processes.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IOKit.
• Understanding of the MacOS VFS model.
• Experience with reverse engineering techniques and debugging kernel space code.
