Software Engineer (AI/ML)

About the role

Nextiva is seeking a technical professional to build and scale AI-driven features within our unified communications and customer experience platform. You will contribute to the development of our XBert AI employee and other intelligent automation tools that transform how businesses manage customer interactions.

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy AI models that power our AI Employee, Agent Assist, AI Receptionist, and AI Voice Agent features.
• Integrate machine learning capabilities into the NEXT Platform to enhance omnichannel customer experiences.
• Build scalable backend services to support real-time voice, text, and chat interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve journey orchestration and customer analytics.

Requirements

• Proficiency in building and maintaining AI or machine learning systems in a production environment.
• Experience with conversational AI, natural language processing, or voice automation technologies.
• Strong software engineering background with the ability to write clean, maintainable code for high-traffic platforms.
• Ability to work onsite in our Bengaluru office.
