About the role

Netomi is seeking a seasoned Software Architect to enhance our core platform. You will be instrumental in shaping the architecture of our AI solutions, ensuring they are scalable, performant, and reliable for enterprise clients. This role involves hands-on technical leadership and guiding engineering efforts.

What you'll do

• Design and build the architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Develop and optimize applications for low latency and high throughput.
• Lead technical design discussions and establish architectural best practices.
• Focus on performance tuning, database optimization, and distributed system design.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, DevOps, and QA teams.
• Review code, mentor senior engineers, and promote engineering quality.
• Ensure platform components are resilient and ready for production.
• Make architectural choices regarding microservices, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment.
• Identify and resolve technical risks.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on backend and platform development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Deep experience with MySQL, including schema design and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Redis for caching or low-latency data access.
• Extensive experience with AWS for production deployments.
• Experience using Docker and containerized applications.
• Practical experience with AWS ECS or similar container orchestration tools.
• Proven track record of building low-latency, high-performance applications.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, microservices, REST APIs, and scalability.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and production incident management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and technical leadership qualities.

Nice to have

• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or SQS.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.
• Exposure to AI, chatbot, or SaaS platforms.
• Experience architecting large-scale multi-tenant systems.
