Prompt Engineer

About the role

Netomi is seeking a Prompt Engineer to create, refine, and assess prompts that improve AI performance. This position demands knowledge of natural language processing, AI behavior, and specific business rules for customers. You will work closely with customer success and data science teams to build effective, tailored AI solutions.

What you'll do

• Develop and refine prompts for clients, ensuring they are accurate and relevant.
• Define descriptions for tools within agentic frameworks to improve AI interactions.
• Enhance prompts for better clarity and performance.
• Automate prompt testing using scripts.
• Evaluate large language models to find the most suitable solutions.
• Create evaluation frameworks and benchmark prompts to define best practices.
• Work with the Customer Success and Data Science teams.
• Maintain clear documentation for prompt development and optimization efforts.
• Keep current with advancements in natural language processing.
• Experiment with new strategies for prompting.
• Adapt models to specific requirements.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or a related area.
• A solid grasp of natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning fundamentals.
• Prior experience in AI prompt engineering, including writing, optimizing, and evaluating prompts.
• Skilled in programming languages like Python.
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capable of working effectively in a team and managing several projects concurrently.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of experience in data science.
• Experience with large language models (e.g., GPT-3, GPT-4, Llama3) and their uses.
• Understanding of data visualization tools and methods.
• A background in linguistics or computational linguistics.
• Experience with agile development approaches.
