This role involves driving sales growth for NETGEAR's IP networking, switching, and wireless products within the Australian commercial and enterprise channels. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of partner accounts, aiming to expand market share and achieve revenue targets. This position is for a motivated sales professional ready to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Recruit and develop relationships with new and existing partners, focusing on in-person interactions and ethical sales practices.
- Expand distribution channels by integrating value-added distributors in key sectors to build a robust project pipeline.
- Identify specialized partners to accelerate the adoption of specific NETGEAR products, especially wireless access points and cloud-managed switches.
- Manage current partner accounts and identify key IT channel partners to increase business across all product categories.
- Achieve or surpass quarterly and annual revenue and profit goals.
- Understand the competitive landscape within your accounts and develop strategies to lead the category.
- Prepare proposals and business plans, negotiate agreements, and manage pricing and margins according to terms.
- Prioritize sales activities, including meetings, calls, and customer contact, to maximize pipeline coverage and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and reports for your portfolio, including competitive data, market trends, and channel developments.
- Maintain accurate and current records in the CRM system to track and report on activities.
- Collaborate with internal NETGEAR teams like Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, Technical Support, and Operations to optimize results and resolve customer issues.
Requirements
- 8 or more years of experience in IT sales, preferably in a channel or partner engagement capacity with a networking vendor.
- Demonstrated success in sales and business development, with strong closing abilities and the capacity to compete against well-established competitors.
- Proven track record managing a channel or partner pipeline, including forecasting and reporting.
- Self-driven, persistent, and resilient, capable of navigating a challenging market independently.
- Strong presentation, analytical, and relationship-building abilities.
- Willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time for partner visits, customer engagements, and trade shows.
Nice to have
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build relationships at various levels within partner organizations, up to executive leadership.
- Solid understanding of channel partner economics and how vendor-partner collaboration fosters mutual success.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM.
- Additional language skills are beneficial in multicultural markets.
