About the role
This position focuses on providing expert technical support for NETGEAR's professional audio-visual networking products. You will be instrumental in customer success, from initial setup to advanced troubleshooting, and will contribute to pre-sales efforts. The role requires a proactive approach to solution design and technical education.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Guide customers through the implementation of NETGEAR ProAV switches and related technologies.
- Deliver comprehensive training, both remotely and in person, on AV-over-IP networking principles, switch configurations, and integration protocols.
- Provide high-level on-site support for critical customer issues, including network timing, multicast, and interoperability challenges.
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to define technical requirements and design effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain internal tools and documentation to streamline support and deployment processes.
- Represent NETGEAR at industry events and conferences, sharing technical expertise.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in networking systems, AV-over-IP, or similar engineering roles.
- Profound understanding of ProAV networking, AV-over-IP, multicast, and switch configuration.
- Solid grasp of fundamental routing and switching concepts.
- Practical experience deploying AVB, Dante, Q-SYS, SMPTE-2059-2, and multicast networks.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AV-over-IP systems in the field.
- Capacity for independent laboratory work and self-directed technical learning.
Nice to have
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CWNA, AVIXA CTS, Dante, or AVB.
- Prior experience as a Solutions Architect or Systems Engineer.
