This role focuses on building strong connections with audiovisual consultants to promote NETGEAR's networking products. You will educate key influencers on our AV-over-IP and managed networking offerings, aiming to translate these relationships into project opportunities and market preference. This is a strategic position focused on market development and early-stage project influence, working alongside various internal teams.

What you'll do
Develop and implement a strategy to engage priority AV consultant firms and technology advisors across North America.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with leaders and technical staff within consultant organizations.
Increase awareness of NETGEAR's professional AV solutions through presentations, educational sessions, and industry events.
Position NETGEAR as a preferred networking partner for a variety of AV projects.
Influence project design requirements and specifications to favor NETGEAR solutions.
Collaborate with sales teams to identify consultant-driven projects and connect them to sales opportunities.
Manage and update project pipeline information in Salesforce, detailing consultant influence and project status.
Work with product and engineering teams to gather consultant feedback and improve product resources.
Create and refine materials for consultants, such as design guides and technical documentation.
Represent NETGEAR at industry events and forums to enhance brand credibility.
Track and report on engagement metrics, specification wins, and market trends.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of NETGEAR products and networking concepts to advise consultants effectively.
Requirements
Hold a Bachelor's degree or have equivalent professional experience.
Possess at least 8 years of experience in professional AV, broadcast AV, AV-over-IP, commercial technology, networking, or related business development roles.
Demonstrate experience interacting with AV consultants, design engineers, integrators, manufacturers, or end-users in the Pro AV market.
Have a solid understanding of AV-over-IP concepts, managed switching, network design, and related IP networking terminology.
Be skilled at building trust with technical professionals and explaining complex networking ideas in practical terms.
Exhibit strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
Have a track record of influencing specifications or early-stage project requirements in complex sales cycles.
Possess strong organizational skills, including proficient use of Salesforce and pipeline management.
Be a self-starter, accountable, and capable of working independently in a national or regional capacity.
Be available to travel up to 50% for meetings, events, and site visits.
Nice to have
Existing connections with prominent North American AV consultant firms or technology advisory groups.
Familiarity with NETGEAR Pro AV, AV-over-IP ecosystems, and related AV platforms and protocols like SMPTE ST 2110, Dante, NDI, SDVoE, AES67, Crestron, AMX, Q-SYS, or Extron.
Experience creating consultant programs, design guides, or technical enablement content.
Hold relevant certifications such as CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, Network+, or CCNA.
Experience within specific verticals like corporate AV, higher education, hospitality, or broadcast.
Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams, at industry events.
