Staff Mobile Engineer

About the role

Neon is looking for a Staff Mobile Engineer to guide the technical and architectural direction of our iOS product ecosystem. This role focuses on building high-quality features, setting engineering standards, and solving complex problems that impact multiple teams across the organization.

Key facts

What you'll do

• Build and maintain mobile features while ensuring performance and responsiveness.
• Design scalable solutions alongside designers and engineering peers.
• Oversee technical designs for squad initiatives and monitor production health, including bug and crash management.
• Conduct unit testing and perform code reviews for team pull requests.
• Ensure cross-device and cross-OS compatibility for the application.
• Evaluate technical proposals from product stakeholders to ensure feasibility.
• Engage in squad and mobile department ceremonies.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience in iOS development using Swift.
• Familiarity with MVVM and VIPER design patterns.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, Git, and UIKit Autolayout.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in agile environments.
• Practical knowledge of unit testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Fastlane.
• Daily use of AI tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Proficiency in RxSwift and project modularization.
• Background in Server-Driven UI (SDUI) architectures.
• Previous experience in the financial sector, including fintechs, large banks, or big tech companies.
