Technical Onboarding Engineer at Neo4j.
About the role
This position is central to ensuring our enterprise clients achieve success with Neo4j's graph intelligence platform from the outset. You will act as a key technical advisor, guiding new customers through the setup and integration of their graph database environments. Your work will directly contribute to a smooth transition from contract signing to a fully operational, production-ready system.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Guide customers in establishing secure and efficient Neo4j AuraDB cloud instances or self-managed clusters across major cloud platforms.
- Implement foundational security measures, including network configurations, identity management, and data encryption.
- Design and advise on data ingestion strategies and optimize application integration with Neo4j.
- Collaborate with customers to define success metrics and manage project timelines and risks.
- Develop technical documentation and best practice guides for customer success.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Neo4j's onboarding processes based on field experience.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years in a client-facing technical capacity, such as Solution Architect, Solution Engineer, or Technical Consulting.
- Practical experience deploying and managing workloads on at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong understanding of core networking concepts, including VPC/VNet design, routing, and private connectivity.
- Hands-on experience with relational or non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Demonstrated experience implementing enterprise identity and access management solutions, including SSO (OIDC/SAML) and RBAC.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical work experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with data integration tools and Change Data Capture (CDC).
- Familiarity with Linux administration, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Prior experience with graph databases, ideally Neo4j.
- Exposure to observability tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
- Knowledge of cloud compliance standards (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
