Software Engineer - Kubernetes & Go

About the role

Neo4j is seeking an experienced engineer to join the Identity and Access Management team for our AuraDB cloud platform. You will focus on rebuilding our IAM infrastructure to ensure it remains secure, compliant, and scalable across AWS, GCP, and Azure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain cloud-native services using Go to support our IAM platform.
• Create custom Kubernetes controllers, operators, and resources.
• Architect the evolution of our IAM platform by contributing new design concepts.
• Implement authentication standards including JWT, mTLS, SPIFFE/SPIRE, and client credentials to secure distributed service communication.
• Draft technical documentation for both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend development or software engineering.
• Proficiency in Go and Kubernetes.
• Practical experience working with at least one major cloud provider: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
