Sr. Solutions Engineer

About the role

As a Sr. Solutions Engineer at Neo4j, you will be a key technical advisor to prospective clients, demonstrating how our graph intelligence platform can solve their complex business challenges. You will work closely with sales teams to guide customers through technical evaluations and ensure they understand the value of Neo4j.

What you'll do

• Explain the business and technical advantages of Neo4j to potential customers.
• Lead the technical evaluation phase within sales cycles.
• Manage multiple opportunities concurrently, including qualification, technical discovery, presentations, demonstrations, proof-of-value exercises, and solution architecture.
• Build strong relationships with customer technical and business stakeholders.
• Design and collaborate on reference and solution architectures, including integration with existing systems in cloud or on-premise environments.
• Stay updated on Neo4j's capabilities and third-party integrations.
• Provide feedback from customers to product management, engineering, and sales teams.
• Participate in demand generation activities, including marketing events and industry conferences.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years in a customer-facing technical role such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant, preferably in a rapidly growing company.
• Experience with enterprise data architecture, data analytics, data science, or cloud data architecture.
• Familiarity with graph data technology is required.
• Hands-on experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or C#.
• Proven ability to design and implement data solutions in AWS, Azure, GCP, or on-premise environments.
• Skill in communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to translate technical features into tangible business benefits.
• A proactive approach to learning new technologies, particularly in the graph space.
• An entrepreneurial spirit with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.

Practical notes

• Annual On Target Earnings Range: $200,000 - $265,000 USD.
• Eligible for stock options and potential annual bonus.
